Groundworks^® is led by Managing Directors Lucas Piperides and David Hosking, who together bring decades of experience across landscaping, revegetation, rehabilitation and environmental construction. Their shared commitment to innovation, quality and continuous improvement has been instrumental in establishing Groundworks^® as one of Australia’s leading providers of environmental landscaping and rehabilitation solutions.

Under their leadership, Groundworks^® has continued to expand its capabilities, investing in specialised equipment, new technologies and industry-leading methodologies to deliver smarter, safer and more efficient solutions for government, civil, mining, commercial and residential clients across Australia.

Lucas Piperides - Managing Director

Lucas has extensive experience on large scale infrastructure projects Australia wide. Lucas is a respected specialist regarding civil landscaping and native revegetation and has the ability to provide experienced and trusted recommendation and procedures to achieve guaranteed results. Lucas has strong communication skills which promotes open relationships with clients, stakeholders, suppliers and team members.

David Hosking - Managing Director

David has over 50 years experience within the landscape and revegetation industry. As one of the Managing Directors of HL Landscapes and Groundworks^®, David is a respected specialist regarding all aspects of landscaping on large infrastructure projects and recommending smart cost saving alternatives to clients. His passion for quality outcomes and interpersonal skills has seen many return clients.

Chris Martin - Senior Estimator

Chris has worked within the landscape and construction industry for over 20 years. Starting as a labourer whilst studying Horticulture at TAFE, he has completed projects as a Project Supervisor through to managing the North Queensland region for one of Queensland’s largest landscape contractors.

Chris heads up the estimating department for both HL Landscapes and Groundworks^® and overseas the completion of multi-million dollar tenders for Tier 1 Builders and Government Infrastructure Projects throughout Australia. Chris’s attention to detail and methodical approach to pricing projects is one of his key strengths and is something that often brings repeat clients.

Matt Malone - Operations Manager

Matt has worked within the landscape and civil construction industry for over 10 years and is a highly motivated and diligent Supervisor with excellent work ethic and job planning skills. Matt heads up the operations side of Groundworks^® and overseas the completion of all our projects, both large and small. He is the face of Groundworks^® and will often be the first point of contact for all of our clients.

Ben Brown - National Development Manager

With more than 20 years of experience in landscaping, revegetation and environmental rehabilitation, Ben has built a reputation for delivering innovative, practical solutions across civil infrastructure, mining and commercial projects. He has extensive expertise in compost-based revegetation solutions, including Ecoblanket^® and soil improvement technologies, and works closely with clients to develop sustainable, cost-effective solutions that deliver long-term environmental and commercial outcomes.
